Aji Stone is a high-grade stone material mined in Aji and Mure Towns in Takamatsu City facing the Seto Inland Sea. The Aji Stone production area has prospered as a stone town since the Heian Period.

The high quality and lustrous appearance of Aji Stone are highly valued both in Japan and abroad.

However, with the changing times, the industry as a whole faced a crisis of stagnation due to the decrease in the number of graves and the distribution of foreign stones.

Therefore, the company decided to design Aji stone, which was often used for tombstones and building materials, into familiar interior and daily necessities to bring it to a wider audience.

The items produced by the handiwork of artisans are filled with the hope of “connecting the future of the region through the AJI PROJECT.
